Destination: Chapel Beach
We got an early start this day and were anxious to see the cliffs. It didn't take long before the woods began to change and we came upon this huge rock.
We turned a corner and...whoa! Cove!
The waves were strong and crashing into each other and the rocks.
This is the cove. Its hard to see the size when you're not there in person but you can compare it to the trees in the picture.
We stopped for lunch by the Cove campsite.
This is Spray Falls.
After a day of gorgeous views, hilly climbs, and hiking with the trail a little too close to the edge - we finally made it to Chapel Rock. The rock slowly broke away and eventually left just the roots still connected to land. Pretty cool.
This was the busiest site. All 6 campsites were full for the night. I wasn't surprised.
Best part.... pit toilets!
The whole view at the beach was amazing. Cliffs on one side and Chapel Rock on the other.
After dinner we sat at the beach to watch the sunset. It was quite chilly, but totally worth it.
We had perfect weather and a beautiful sunset. Good day.
